📍 About the role

We are looking for a Welding Process Engineer to support welding process planning, validation, and continuous improvement in automotive body manufacturing. You will work closely with production and cross-functional teams to ensure welding processes are stable, efficient, and meet quality standards.

🎯 What you'll be doing

• Participate in production process planning, process solution reviews, equipment selection, and tooling and fixture design reviews.

• Support new model trial builds, process validation, and issue resolution according to project milestones and production requirements.

• Prepare, review, update, release, and control manufacturing process documents.

• Monitor and improve welding process stability, efficiency, and quality.

• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to welding and body manufacturing processes.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

• Develop and maintain technical expertise in spot welding, arc welding, laser welding, stud welding, gluing, and hemming processes.

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Equipment, and other cross-functional teams to resolve process issues.

• Drive continuous process improvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

✅ What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering, preferably in automotive body manufacturing or welding processes.

• Experience in process planning, equipment selection, tooling and fixture design, and process validation.

• Knowledge of spot welding, arc welding, laser welding, stud welding, gluing, and hemming processes is preferred.

• Experience in new model trials, process validation, and mass production preparation.

• Ability to prepare, review, update, and manage manufacturing process documents.

• Strong technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and process improvement skills.

• Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Good command of English. Chinese communication skills are an advantage.
