📍 About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to oversee legal affairs and manage legal risks for the company and its factory in Thailand. You will provide legal support to business operations, advise internal departments, manage legal matters, and protect the company’s legal rights and interests.

🎯 What you'll be doing

• Oversee legal affairs and manage legal risks associated with the operations of the Thailand company and factory, with a focus on frontline business activities.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks while providing legal support to various internal departments.

• Conduct legal research on Thai laws, regulations, and policies relevant to company and factory operations, particularly procurement and purchasing-related matters.

• Provide legal advice to support strategic business decisions and day-to-day operations.

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate various legal documents, commercial contracts, and agreements.

• Develop and deliver legal training programs to enhance internal compliance and legal awareness.

• Manage and coordinate local litigation and non-litigation matters, including liaison with external legal counsel when necessary.

• Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, corporate matters, and import and export trade compliance.

• Support dispute resolution and cross-cultural and multi-jurisdictional legal matters.

• Perform other legal duties and special projects as assigned by management.

✅ What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Law. A Master's Degree is highly recommended, and an overseas study background is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of Thai laws, regulations, and policies related to the daily operations of companies and manufacturing facilities.

• More than 5 years of experience in legal affairs within Thai companies or Thai law firms. Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

• Candidates who have passed the Thai legal qualification examination or hold a Thai lawyer's professional qualification certificate will be given preference.

• Proficient in both English and Chinese, with strong written and spoken communication skills. Excellent English is highly preferred.

• Strong expertise in legal research, commercial contracts, corporate law, and import/export trade compliance.

• Proficient in contract drafting, contract review, commercial negotiation, dispute resolution, and handling cross-cultural and multi-jurisdictional legal matters.

• Strong sense of responsibility, logical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent written communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, coordination, and execution skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Proactive, diligent, and meticulous, with the ability to work independently.
