About the Role

BYD THAILAND is looking for an RES-Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support for residential energy storage products, including energy storage batteries, inverters, and integrated systems. This role will troubleshoot product issues, coordinate with local service teams and customers, provide technical training, and support continuous product improvement across assigned markets.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide technical support for residential energy storage products, including energy storage batteries, inverters, and integrated systems, to ensure reliable product operation.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues arising during product installation, operation, repair, and maintenance.

• Maintain effective communication with customers worldwide to understand their needs, collect feedback, and address after-sales complaints and service concerns.

• Assist local after-sales teams in analyzing product quality issues, developing solutions, and tracking problem resolution.

• Deliver technical training and guidance to customers, installers, and business partners on product operation, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

• Collect and analyze product feedback from different markets and provide recommendations for product development and product strategy improvement.

• Coordinate spare parts shipments with regional warehouses and manage the repair process for damaged spare parts.

• Collaborate with relevant technical and service teams to resolve recurring product issues and improve after-sales service quality.

• Support local teams in understanding product requirements, technical specifications, and applicable regulatory and certification requirements.

• Maintain awareness of local residential energy storage regulations, certification requirements, sales channels, and installer networks in assigned markets.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in residential energy storage or small-scale commercial and industrial energy storage.

• A degree or educational background in Solar Energy, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field is preferred.

• Solid electrical technical knowledge and familiarity with residential hybrid inverters, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), energy storage batteries, and integrated energy storage systems.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve product failures.

• Knowledge of residential energy storage regulations and certification requirements in the assigned market.

• Understanding of local sales channels, installer networks, and key customer groups.

• Ability to communicate technical information effectively and support product promotion among installers and business partners.

• Good command of English and the local language of the assigned market to facilitate effective communication.

• Strong technical problem-solving, customer service, communication, and coordination skills.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned region and undertake occasional international business trips as required.
